FOXFORD

Literary Translator

I’m Isobel Foxford, a literary translator working from Portuguese and Spanish into English. I have published my translations of Olavo Amaral’s short stories with Asymptote and have contributed to book-length translations and academic journals. I have worked for the Royal Court as a reader of Portuguese-language plays, and was selected by Foreign Affairs for the Theatre Translation Mentorship. My main interests are contemporary Brazilian fiction and the work of underrepresented writers.
